Is Twitter Useful or Just a Toy?
Do you Twitter? Have you found it useful? Oh, I suppose it’s fun, it even has it’s moments of cleverness. Clever at least as any one can cleverly be in 140 characters or less. But is it useful? Of that I am not yet certain.
Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed keeping up with the comings and goings of friends in Florida. I am now following the less frequent updates of an old college friend and whom I haven’t had real contact with in years. Somehow, wondering about this friend’s decision on whether or not to go to a movie over the holidays is infinitely more interesting this friend now resides and buys her movie popcorn in England. I look forward to keeping up with the comings and goings, doings and musings of far-flung friends across town, across the state, across the Mason-Dixon line, not to mention the Continental Divide and better yet across the Atlantic. Keep it up dear friends, but tell me do any of you really find this Twitter thing more useful than the average bear? Let me know, I am curious. If you can do it is less than 140 characters a shot, I will be impressed.
